Patong Beach Area
Patong is the island's oldest and most developed tourist area, with a wide range of accommodation and activities within close proximity of its 3,000 metre crescent shaped beach. Karon Beach Area
Karon, the second largest of Phuket's principal west coast beaches, is quiet and relaxed. Lots of good local restaurants and a good range of accommodation from small guest houses to family resorts. The beach has lots of room and is rarely crowded. Snorkelling at the southern end allows you to explore coral reef that stretches toward Kata and a small offshore island (Boo Island).
