General Information
Thank you for making your reservation with STA Travel. Please note that this document explains some important booking condition on discount air tickets issued in Japan.
First of all, the regulation for the issuance of air tickets differs from your country. The Japanese law for the travel industry is applicable whenever you purchase the tickets.
Secondly, it is important for you to check your itinerary and the invoice very carefully. Your name on the itinerary and the invoice must be exactly the same as your passport name. If any corrections should be needed, please contact your travel adviser immediately.
Payment such as deposit and final balance must be made by the due date indicated on your invoice. If you fail to do so what every the reasons are, please contact your adviser immediately and advise when the payment is to be made. If the payment is not made by due date and you did not contact us, your booking may be automatically cancelled. When making bank transfer, please enter your name as per your passport or the invoice number shown on your invoice. Otherwise it may make us difficult to find whose payment it was.
We also strongly recommend you to purchase travel insurance prior to your departure. We are an authorised agent for Tokio Marine & Nichido Insurance, ACE Insurance and AIU Insurance. Please contact your adviser for more details. Please note that we are not able to sell travel insurance for those who purchase One-Way ticket bounds for overseas.
After full payment is received, your voucher will be sent to your address normally in 7 to 5 days prior to your departure date. The voucher should be exchanged at an airport departure counter indicated in your voucher. Alternatively, if you wish to receive your tickets by post, the postage fee \1,050(Tax included) is payable. On the receipt of your tickets or voucher please check all details carefully again.
On the date of departure, please allow yourself a plenty of time for check in. Also it is important for you to travel with a valid passport with necessary visas or re-entry permits. Depending on your destinations you may also be required to have your passport with sufficient lengths of term to its expiry date.
Please note that STA Travel may increase the amount of billing, in case the amount of tax for the countries passenger depart, arrive, pass at, insurance charge, fuel surcharge, are changed by the airlines, or the authorities of the countries concerned when these changes are made before the ticket issuing.

Liability
Please note that STA Travel is not responsible for any cases as below:
1.
Cancellation of your reservation by not re-confirming your flights directly with the airlines. Please not that for some discount tickets, airlines may not insert passengers’ name in their reservation system until 2 or 3 days before your flights.
2.
Cancellation or schedule changes due to weather conditions, technical reasons, political circumstances, strikes and hijackings.
3.
Failure to depart Japan or enter your destinations due to lack of passport validity, inappropriate visas or re-entry permit.
4.
Replacement for lost or stolen tickets.
5.
Inability to board your flights due to late check in.
6.
Inability to board your flights due to discrepancies between your names on your ticket and passport.
7.
Inability to board connecting flights. Please allow sufficient time between flight connections.

Please note that Cancellation and Schedule change fees vary according to the type of fares, seasonality and airlines. Also, different cancellation and schedule change fees may apply for packaged tours, rail passes, first & business class Air tickets, and full fare, PEX & APEX Air tickets.
