What is a KR PASS?
KR PASS is a railway pass aimed towards foreigners in South Korea, allowing
travelers to freely utilize the majority of trains offered by KORAIL without
limits in terms of travel section or frequency of usage.

KR PASS TYPE
|
Normal
Pass | Regular pass. Children from the ages of 4-12 can receive a 50% discount; children under the age of 4 ride free of charge. |
|
Saver
Pass | One pass that can be used between 2-5 people if taveling together in a group. |
|
Youth
Pass |
Those
who are between the ages of 13 - 25 years of age, or those who hold
an International Student Identification Card (ISIC) are applicable.
Those who chose to apply for this pass can receive an approximated
20% discount from the price of the Normal Pass.

*You must be of applicable age at the time you purchase the KR Pass Voucher. All ISIC holders must have a valid student ID, in addition to the ISIC, that will last throughout the dutation on the KR Pass.
*The KR Pass is sole;y reserved for foreigners who are visiting South Korea for less than 6 months
*Korean citizens who have can prove that they have foregin residency or a long-stay visa in a foreign country are also applicable for a KR Pass. |

HOW TO USE VOUCHER |
|
Once you have reserved
a KR Pass, we will issue you a voucher that can be redeemed at a
main exchange station upon arraivel in South Korea. Main exchange
stations inculde: Seoul station, Yeong-Deung
Po station, Dae-Jeon station, East Dae-Gu station, Bu-San station,
Kyung-Ju station, KwangJju station, In-Cheon airport railroad information
and etc.

- The STA Travel voucher
must be exchanged at any of the stations listed above within 60
days from the date of purchase.

Should you cancel your reservation for the voucher within 5 days prior to your departure from Japan, a 100% cancellation fee and booking charge will be applied. |   |

- You must write the
KR PASS effective dates with the beginning and the ending date upon
time of redemption. Present the ticket to the ticketing officer
for verification of the effective date, but please note that the
dates cannot be changed after verification.

Effective Date | |
- Indicates the first
and last day of validity of the KR PASS. Should you happen to be
in transit and the effective date expires before the arrival time
of the train, it will still be deemed effective until the train's
arrival.

Seating | |
- Passengers may choose
their own seating before departure at each station at no additional
cost. An additional charge may be applied should you choose to reserve
seating in: KTX First class, Seamaul Express First Class and Mugunghwa
Line Sleeping Car.

- Please fill out the train time
and travel period in the travel log on the back of the KR PASS Case and give it
to the ticketing officer. | |
- In the case that there
are no seats available, passengers may substitute the Mugunghwa
Express and the Tongil Express Standing room. (*Please take into
consideration that all seats may be full during national holidays,
public holidays, and/or on weekends.)

| - If you choose to change your travel time after reserving you seating, you must go to the nearest station to cancel the seating reservation before the time of the train's departure. | |

Refund Policy in cases of theft or loss
| |
- No cash return or
reprint in cases of theft or loss.
| |
- KR PASS cannot be
returned with the exception of cases of natural disaster, any train
accidents that prevent departure and are deemed valid by the station
officer.

OTHER GENERAL TICKET USE INFORMATION |
- You may not be able to
use the KR pass on public holidays in Korea;
01Jan, 03Mar, 05May 15Aug, 03Oct, 25Dec,
Chinese New Year days, Thanksgiving, Buddha's birthday etc |
| - The KR Pass can only be used by the name bearer of the pass. Should you request service from a station officer, you must present your KR Pass along with your passport and any other identification cards that you may possess. |
| - Voucher must be exchanged within
60 days from the date of purchase. | | - The KR Pass must be used within 30 days from the date od exchange. Passengers must receive a stamp of approval to validate the effective time period and receive departure verification from the station officer. The pass will otherwise be considered invalid.
|
| - The pass will be considered
effective from the time of initial departure from the departing station. |
| - If you do not reserve
your seats before departure time, there may not be any seats available.
It is advised that you book your seats in advance, especially during
the weekends. You may have to travel in the standing room only section
in Mugunhwa Express if there are no seats available. Please note that
you must reserve your seat for every train ride, and that reservations
can only be made at the departing station. |
| - Korean Nation Railroad
is not responsible for train delays, baggage theft or loss. This Pass
does not cover travel insurance. |

cases below, note that passenger's KR PASS will be invalidated and passenger will
be charged .5 to 3 times the standard ticket price. *Using the pass before
the effective period or after expiration date. *Failing to comply with the
request to present passenger ID by the train conductor. *Failing to reveal
the correct age for ticket purchase.
*Intentionally changing the passenger information, effective date,
or date of production on the face of the ticket.
*Purchasing tickets under another person's name. *Otherwise failing to comply
with expected passenger conduct. |  |
